A Wildebeest Chess adaptation to the decimal board.[All Comments] [Add Comment or Rating]H. G. Muller wrote on 2021-05-13 UTCI Implemented a way to have both 1-step (O1) castling and castling that ends on the Rook square in the same variant. Both can be selected through clicking the Rook as destination of the King moves. This was already the case, and the diagram would perform the castling indicated in the move definition. But if this is ambiguous, it now request a third click for entering the King destination, and the square next to the King will then be interpreted as castling, rather than a normal move. satellite=wild files=10 ranks=10 promoZone=1 promoChoice=QW stalemate=win graphicsDir=http://chessvariants.com/graphics.dir/alfaeriePNG/ squareSize=50 graphicsType=png lightShade=#FFDEAD darkShade=#CD853F rimColor=#8B4513 coordColor=#FFDEAD borders=0 firstRank=1 useMarkers=1 pawn::::a3-j3 camel::::a1,j1 knight:N:::c2,h2 bishop::::d2,g2 rook::::b2,i2 queen::::e2 wildebeest::NC::f1 king::KisO1isO2isO3ilO4::f2 Wildebeest Decimal Chess Greg Strong wrote on 2019-11-18 UTCYou're welcome, Erik. I'll change it for the official release. But if you want, you can change your copy right now. Just modify the text file in the Include sub-directory. (Don't just rename the file, you also have to edit the first line in the file.) erik wrote on 2019-11-18 UTCThe definitive name of this game is 'Wildebeest Decimal Chess'. Is it possible to change the name of the corresponding preset (which I had called 'Wildebeest Chess Decimal') for the definitive name, without destroying ongoing and finished games? I also just downloaded Chess V2.2. Great job. Thank you Greg for having included my game. No matter if you have it under its old name; but if it is a Release Candidate version, if the name could be also changed it would be more coherent with this page (even if the 2 names are nearly identical). 3 comments displayedLater ⇩Reverse Order⇧ EarlierPermalink to the exact comments currently displayed.
