Null chess

Invented by Philip Cohen in the 1960s, Null Chess appears in the Classified Encyclopedia of Chess Variants, section 4.4.

Rules

When a capture square is vacated, it becomes Null. Null squares cannot be occupied or passed over. Also, no en passant.
