i remember reading the science fiction book, in which this game was played
(and in an appendix, explained). i was so excited, i created the board
yellow and blue) and the pieces and started playing with anyone i could
find (willing to learn). most often we laid out the board atop a picnic
table (outside) and up to 6 people would play. this was c. 1980 mind you.

i think (now) some of the most exciting aspects of this game were: the
ability to move GROUPS of pieces in one turn, the fact that the board was
divided into 'regions', the 'vaulting' and the ability of the one
piece to capture its own pieces. also being able to change direction at
the 'borders' between 'regions' gave the game a new, weird, but fun

i just now stumbled on this by accident, but i am excited again - if i
have time, i just might go and make me a board and pieces again...
