Chess, variants and othe mental game can help a lot, perhaps much more than many people think, because it is not only a mental exercise which uses many cerebral actions that define intelligence, it is recreational and, by this reason, many times there is predisposition to the activity, and there is a special kind of happiness in what you are doing. Many aspects of intelligence are actively estimulated by some games, so it is not a surprise for me the experimental results.
