We were playing 'Nuclear Chess' on chess boards at Reed College in the
early 80's, first without the dead spot. We shortly added the spot with
some interesting twists...and the results are finally being computerized.
I unfortunately came across this site while looking to see if any of my
co-designers had worked on the project...you are not one of them.
