Hyperchess is a hexagonal chess variant, invented 1971 by W. D. Groman. Two different vinyl boards were for sale in the 1970's: one for two players, and one for three players. Below, you see photo's of the boards, that were donated by David Moeser.

You can click on the images to see them in larger size. There is also an index to more images of chess variant sets.

Written and photo's by Hans Bodlaender, (c) 1998. The photo's are made with a Kodak DC-20 camera, donated by David Howe. The boards were donated by David Moeser. Hyperchess was copyrighted by W. D. Groman in 1971.
