Note that when using the standard rules, each player has one bishop that's always strong, and the other always weak.

I think that the 'Weak' knights should get a lame knight move, not an orthogonal one. For all the other pieces, they get weaker moves of their old moves, not completely new ones. I'm not sure whether this a good thing, but in some cases players might actually want the wazir move!

I had a similar idea recently, but this looks pretty interesting. Has anyone played this? I'm surprised there's no ZRF.

I have made the ZRF: ChessVariants.zrf (select 'Contrast chess' from variants menu). However, it is strange, because red piece are strong in white square, and cyan piece is strong in black square.
