Tower Chess has all the standard rules of FIDE Chess but with some new pieces that are dropped on the board during the game. All of the new pieces are stationary but can still capture.
The opening array is the same as Chess.
Tower - This piece is stationary, and is similar to a Rook in that it captures the first piece in an orthogonal to itself, but does so without moving.
Cathedral - This piece is stationary, and is similar to a Bishop in that it captures the first piece in a diagonal to itself, but does so without moving.
Palace - This piece is stationary and the compound of the Tower and Cathedral.
All rules are as in FIDE Chess with a following addition:
Each player gets 2 Towers, 2 Cathedrals, and 1 Palace to drop during the game. Black will be the first to drop one of these pieces.
