The pieces seem to be incorrectly lined up with the names.

I use 50 pixel squares, but 45 pixel squares might suffice.

I was wondering: What size do the spaces on the board need to be in order to be large enough to fit the pieces without any cropping and without adjacent pieces touching each other?
