Mobile menus on the play subdomain[Subject Thread] [Add Response]

On the play subdomain, I have decreased the footprint of the menu on mobile devices. Instead of having a bar all the way across the screen, there is now a ≡ in the top right corner, level with the logo. The ≡ symbol is commonly used for menus and should be recognizable without the word menu added to it. When touched, it will provide a full width menu as before. I have decreased its inactive footprint to make more space for Game Courier boards, so as to decrease the need to scroll down after loading a page for a game move.

I have tested this in the experimental browser on my Kindle Touch, on Browser, Boat Browser, and Opera Mobile on my rooted Nook Simple Touch, and on Firefox and Boat Browser on my Android tablet. Try it on your mobile devices, and let me know if it works for you.

It works fine in my mobile devices.

By the way, I have noticed that kibbitz comments are not displayed in logs when you review games by using mobile devices; see for instance this: shatteredglass-judgmentality-2014-237-084

It would be good that this was remedied.

Okay, I just put Kibbitz comments back on the page with mobile devices. I
may need to make its presentation more compact while increasing the font
size for mobile devices.

I also made the menu items smaller, and I adjusted the CSS to get more
uniform sizes across different devices.

I also found out it wasn't working on the ipad and fixed it. The main
site's menu still doesn't work on the ipad. I'll fix that later.

Excellent... Thanks!

By other part, I'm reporting another problem: the menu to choose which
side will play one is not working in Personal Invitations. When you accept
it, the software assigns to you automatically second player. I'm sending
you an invite for Cylindrical Chess so that you can corroborate the issue.
