Charles Gilman wrote on 2010-06-30 UTCGood ★★★★I've just realised, I didn't rate this page in my last comment. Either I forgot or it's grown on me since. Daniil Frolov wrote on 2010-06-28 UTCCan pawn be dropped between opponent's king and friendly cannon so what it's checkmate, but dropped pawn is not checking? I like idea, but i did not tried it. (I have never tried this, it is just a idea.) Also, Chasles Gilman has interesting idea, too! I like that too Charles Gilman wrote on 2008-12-22 UTCSlight correction, I should have said 'a King or Gold or another Cannon'. Charles Gilman wrote on 2008-12-21 UTCActually it would be interesting if Cannons literally promoted - and demoted as well. They could promote/demote the intervening piece, if not a King or Gold - and not a piece that would be left unable to move. Players might think twice about making a Cannon move that would promote an enemy or demote one of their own pieces. John Smith wrote on 2008-12-21 UTCCannons do not promote.
