I think, rules of Bug/Crazyhuse can be appied almost to any game, even Shogi. Just some rules must be a bit specifyed.

I loved it!

To me, it is the birth oif a new kind of variant, that can be called
template variant, or meta-variant, where the rules are devised and applied
to another variant.

Why not a hexagonal variation of crazyhouse/bughouse?

I believe it is one of the most popular ways the things will turn to be in
the CV universe.

Best!

A Courier preset for Grand CrazyHouse here :
/play/pbm/play.php?game%3DGrand+Crazyhouse%26settings%3Ddefault

It doesn't enforce any rules, the player will have to do every thing
himself.
