Introducing the Neoorthodox board, the Divaricator piece, and extended castling (with zrf).[All Comments] [Add Comment or Rating]M Winther wrote on 2007-05-26 UTCI have discarded several of my piece inventions because they were somehow awkward , and I first discarded the Divaricator, too. But then I realized that it is possibly a useful piece. One feature is that it can capture without exposing itself to capture. I thought that this would disrupt the natural flow of the game, but it cannot expose itself to the light pieces and pawns. Interestingly, K + Divaricator versus K is won. Maybee it is even more valuable than 4. /Mats John Smith wrote on 2008-12-15 UTCInteresting game, Mats. What is sufficient mating material?
