Err, Fergus, in much of Europe (including the Netherlands, where Hans is from), a period is the groups separator, and the comma is the decimal place indicator. Since this is one of those things on which there is no international agreement, it is perhaps best to leave group separators out entirely; unless, of course, there is someway to have the appropriate separator for the reader's locale to be automatically selected.

It looks like you're using periods where commas would be more appropriate. When you use a period instead of a comma in a number, it can get confused with a decimal point.
