Facebook

It's a good way for some of us to stay in communication with one another.

I disagree.

If you want to use Facebook to stay in communication with each other,
perhaps you should link directly to the group for chess variants. (I do not
know which one that is; I have no Facebook account and do not intend to
have one)

Several months ago I got an account at Facebook but immediately regretted
and never edited my profile. So I am not a member there.

I express my most sincere apologies to the persons that have tried to be my friends by means Facebook. Be sure that I am friend of you all here
by means this wonderful website!

I'm on Facebook, but I find it to be a fairly useless site. I'm not into
social networking. I'm reluctant to friend people because (1) it's not
real friendship, and (2) the more 'friends' I have on Facebook, the more
clutter I get when I log on. I rarely use Facebook, and I would just as
soon stick to websites where I actually do something or engage in
discussions with people. So, if I ignore friend requests on Facebook,
don't take it personally. I'm happy to be friends here, where we can
actually engage in shared interests together. I'm just not that interested
in using Facebook to keep in touch with anyone.
