Jesse Obligacion's 'Chess II' also has a prince; it was authored on December 2000, and the goal of that game was to checkmate or to usher the king to the other side. The presentation differs in that the prince could be captured, and the board is 10x8. Nevertheless, the game must be intriguing. Good ideas seem to come to several folks at the same time.
