Thank you immensely for this information. Whether you actually get down to playing chess variants or not, the ideas of this chess fan and promoter should be read and digested. His research on the game is highly valuable, and his deconstruction and re-application of original chess ideas can help new players get a feel for the potential of the game. Even the decimal variants can help build a feel for the stories that are told over the board, and help the new player tell her own stories. <p>Know your chess history; read, and then, PLAY THE GAME!
