This does not affect a Knight, which has all its destination cells equidistant in different directions. It would affect a Nightrider or even a Rose, but only as regards cells an exact number of Knight moves along the path. I first saw this variant after submitting a Piececlopedia entry on which a link to this page would be relevant, but I will try and remember to add it in when I eventually submit an update.
