Very good variant - does not require special board and special pieces. I played beside 20 once in belorussian cheskers and must note that checkers on the first line much it is difficult to carry in play. Can be on the first line immediately to put the Damkas? Tireless P. A. Shkludov created another cheskers variants – byelorussian checkers and chebyel (shabel)- http://www.gambler.ru/plus/tavlei/other/other_6.htm
