Since I hardly ever use my laptop for anything but streaming music, I checked some pages out on Firefox there, and I saw the same thing. I then narrowed the window on my desktop for Chrome and Waterfox, and I saw the same problem. Although you don't know much about CSS, you correctly diagnosed the problem. I was missing code for ASIDE.leftcol and for ASIDE.rightcol for the width ranges where only one gets shown. Since this worked in the past, I figure that at one time I had previously defined these in the CSS file, and I must have edited that out later. It should now be fixed.
