Since my brain is getting too tired to continue with this tonight, I'll report my progress here. I got it to recognize 25. P*f7 as check. This took editing the P function in the hostagechess2.txt include file, fixing the best2free function in polish.php, and removing code from the checked subroutine for doing what I now have the P function handling.
