Introducing the Perier Cannon in a Western piece context (with zrf).[All Comments] [Add Comment or Rating]H. G. But I am still skeptical about the gating mechanism you propose in this variant to introduce them. It introduces a second unusual complication. You mention yourself that it is a difficult strategic decision when to introduce the Cannon. Wouldn't it be much simpler to start the Cannon, say, on b1, moving the Knight to a2, and the a-Pawn to a3?
