My analogy for this issue is the planets.
If FIDE chess is like Earth
and 8x10 chess is like Mars
then extinction chess is like pluto
and Tzaar is then ceres.
Either neither Extinction chess and Tzaar are chess variants
or they both are. I don't think either is satisfactory to all, but that
is the way the knight jumps.
