Hostage Chess. Pieces taken are held hostage and can be exchanged against other pieces and then dropped. (8x8, Cells: 64) (Recognized!)[All Comments] [Add Comment or Rating]

I think I have to play Hostage Chess to know exactly what you talk about. I recommend you to study all the zillions commands of add (add, add-copy, add-partial, add-copy-partial). Also, study the zillions files for Checkers and Hostage Chess. If it's too complicated to implement then take that as a sign to make the game simpler. If this is what you strongly believe in, then it worth the time. You'll love it when it works out right.

I don't really know what you mean in "the exchange is automatic."

If you want a piece may only capture another piece only when both pieces are of the same type, then it is easy. Perhaps, this is NOT what you wanted.

Thank you for your valuable input. As a result, I edited my article right
away. Hopefully, it has less issues then the first draft.

I just wrote a piece titled "A Good Game Theory" where I ended up
redefining a few chess terms. I don't know how it is acceptable in the
chess variant community. I need your input. Thanks.

Quangtrungkì, the updated version/edition of Quangtrung Chess[Subject Thread] [Add Response]

Thanks Mats! Didn't not realize it until you point out. I will change it
right away.

Christine! I hereby officially declare you my first and only fan.
Seriously, I have around 20 "recalled" editions. All has something that I
am not totally happy about. There are a few editions that was hard to let
go, though. I think I should publish a few of them just for my fan, now
that I officially have one. But my firm believe is that we have to be
selective, at least at some level. Having so many variants is can be a
distraction, though.

Greeting Everyone! Once again, I changed my game. I edited the last version
of Quangtrung Chess and gave it a new name: "Quangtrungkì". It is posted
it at http://www.quangtrungki.com

Is Hans Bodlaender and David Howe still here? I lost my original userID and
password. Is there a way to get it back? Anyone? Thanks, Vu Q Vo
