White moves the Knight on the Queen's side of the board out. Remember, the Knight moves two squares forward, backward, or sideways, and then one square turning to either side. Knights leap over other pieces.
Notice that White's Knight is now attacking Black's Queen. In Chess, the Knight is the only piece that can attack the Queen without her attacking that piece back.
