Seth McGinnis says that this game has been invented multiple times. Pawns occasionally explode after being moved, destroying everything on adjacent squares.

Cyberfriend Pekka Karjalainen suggested that capturing the king after an explosion leaves him en prise be forbidden. Thank you -- I have implemented this.
