Tile Chess is a commercial chess variant, published by Steve Jackson Games. Chess pieces are depicted on tiles. There is no board in this game, or, differently stated, the tiles with the pieces form the board. The game is expected to appear in October 1999, and to cost $14.95. A set contains 6 sets of tiles, such that the game can be played with 2 to 6 players.
