Pixelpusher variant: Amazon chess

Amazon chess is a variant of chess with a history tracing back to the middle ages. The only difference with orthodox chess is that queens can also move as knights. Such a queen is often called amazon. In the applet below, where you can play the game, the amazon is shown as an upside-down queen.

This only works with Java enabled browsers.
