The rules of Trapdoor Chess could be applied to a 3d board, only pieces would fall down one level, capturing if it falls onto another piece, even if it's of the same colour, and dieing if it falls down the bottom. Could prove to be interesting. Question is, though, after falling would the trapdoor one square below start ticking?
