Thoroughly entertaining and well thought out. I recommend this game to anyone. Sovereign Chess definitely takes traditional chess to the next level (akin to jumping from 2D to 3D).

Greetings @mikenels

Your original post is an interesting one. I'll definitely have to give it some thought (and perhaps a blog post) as it relates to my friend's game he created, "Sovereign Chess."

I would refer you to our CV page, but Mark (the game creator) and I are still trying to get our page up. If you (or anyone) can help us/upgrade our profile to "contributor" status, we would greatly appreciate it (forgive me if this is minutely off topic). My username is sovereign_chess. Mark's is piguy.
(We've emailed the usual channels with no response)

If you're interested, we would enjoy playing a game of Sovereign Chess by email, just drop us a line. We'd love to hear from you.

Neat game.
Btw. There's a typo.

Where is says "If playing a card, depending on what piece is on the square tghe card refers to on your side of the board, you do the following"

"tghe" needs to be "the"

Recycle Chess. Players can capture and drop their own pieces. (8x8, Cells: 64) [All Comments] [Add Comment or Rating]
