The pictures below are of Sidney LeVasseur's King's Court. The board pictured is composed of tiles created by David Howe. The tiles were created by cutting up a rubber-backed, cloth chess board into various sized mats. The pieces are from one of Fergus Duniho's chess sets, supplimented with four wooden figurines that represent the two Chancellors and two Jesters. The 24 pawns are from two smaller sets of Fergus'.
The exagerated oblong style of the board does indeed suggest a court, and is quite pleasing to the eye.
The pictures for the previous set (Quang Trung Chess) are here. The pictures for the next set are not ready yet, but stay tuned!
